About Me

Sarah and her two children.

Sarah and her two children.

My name is Sarah Cox I am a registered childminder, I live with my husband and 2 children of primary and secondary school age. I have looked after and worked with children most of my life and from a very early age this is all I have wanted to do. I have worked in a nursery setting and now that my children are in school I am doing childminding.

In my spare time I have run a youth group for ages 8 – 17 for over 10 years which offers a safe and fun environment on a Friday night where they can have lots of fun. When I’m not working, I help with my mother’s toddler group that offers activity’s which promote the Early years foundation.

I provide childminding from my own home. I give care and education for boys and girls, in a safe home setting. I aim to supply high quality, flexible childcare for families. I will work with parents and will respect their wishes, values and practices for the care of their child or children. I live in a terraced house. My conservatory is a playroom, but children are welcome to take toys and other items into the dining room and sitting room. I have a safe and secure Yard that children can play in all weathers. Children will always be supervised in the yard. We also have a lovely field just outside the house, which will be used for outdoor play and activities. Just around the corner (a 5-minute walk) we have a park that has a play area and a wooded area nearby providing lots of places to explore. My parents have a lovely garden 2 streets away that we can have access to and where we can watch and help the vegetables and flowers grow. Within a 2-minute walk there is church building that has large community hall and children’s playroom. I have the keys to the church and on occasions we might use this to play and also use if we are involved in large activities.

I also work with an assistant who supports during the sessions when needed.

What People Are Saying

Sarah is the most lovely childminder! My little boy absolutely loves going to her house. Her home space is colourful, safe, clean and inviting, and she helps children to learn through play. My son especially loves song time! Thank you Sarah for looking after him so well :)

Sarah Cox is amazing with children. Her high energy creative spirit would benefit any aged child. She is a fantastic role model and respected within the community.

Sarah had been looking after our daughter Isobel since Oct now and I can’t recommend her highly enough! She is fantastic with the children always doing lots of fun and creative activities. Communication is also brilliant. We have seen such a positive difference is Isobel since starting here. It was the best decision we made as a family choosing Sarah.

Sarah is a very lovely and trustworthy person. She has brought my daughters speech on so much in just a short space of time, she educates her with words and also has fun whilst doing so... my daughter now sings 24/7 😂
She keeps me up to date constantly with how my daughter is spending her day so I never feel worried about how she is getting on!
Would definitely recommend!

My daughter is usually quite shy, especially with strangers, however she took to Sarah right from the off! She absolutely loves going there and runs for her shoes and coat as soon as I tell her where she’s going. I can’t explain what a relief that is for an anxious Mam! Her talking, eating and of course singing, has all come on in leaps and bounds in the past few months since visiting Sarah and I couldn’t be happier with the care my daughter receives from her. Full of learning fun it’s lovely to see how animated my daughter is after being there showing me what she has learned that day. I receive texts and pictures throughout the day to let me see how she is getting on.
For someone who was really undecided about childcare it was the best decision I made and that’s down to Sarah!
